Bizaardvark is making waves

Jake Paul recently sent out a tweet saying Bizaardvark is making waves. The show is gaining attention due to Jake Paul’s social media status and fact that he’s become the number 1 growing YouTube channel in recent months. The irony here is that the Disney show, Bizaardvark, is about two teenage best friends who upload funny videos to the internet which is exactly what Jake does.
Also, Bizaardvark has received an overwhelming amount of criticism due to the plot being too similar to iCarly. iCarly was a teen sitcom that ran on Nickelodeon from September 8th, 2007 to November 23rd, 2012. iCarly was about Carly and her best friend, Sam, who host a webcast show. Bizaardvark is a similar idea to that of iCarly. Is Disney copying Nickelodeon? It would seem so.
Bizaardvark is currently in its second season and average around 1.25 million viewers per episode. Jake Paul, however, is no longer starring in the videos to better focus on building his social media web presence (which is working out well for him).
