Game of the Week: Rawr
This week’s game is basically monster pit fighting. In Rawr, suggested by Pika Pika 8D, you must keep the evil and rich Lupen Tintain from taking over your forest by training up your monster, called a Rawr. This Action game allows you to choose from several monster types, and upgrade them as you go along.
This game is pretty laptop-friendly; the only thing I can think of that might be hard with a touchpad is collecting the bonuses.
Here are some tips:
- Don’t try to be Lil’ Mister Speedy Gonzales and fight the bosses right away until you’ve gained some experience. You’ll just die and then won’t get anything out of it.
- Choose wisely when selecting your first Rawr, you won’t be able to change it. (I chose the Cthulu one… I know, it’s really awesome…)
- Try to find foods that will raise your Rawr’s health level, and ones that will give them an edge in their next level. Foods you make from recipes will be especially good. While it can be annoying to sit there for like five minutes while your Rawr is eating, it usually pays off.
- Make sure your Rawr has both good psy damage and physical damage- there are some enemies that can’t be defeated by one alone.
- Once you unlock the modification center, use your Gen Points wisely. As far as I’ve seen you can’t buy them back in any way.
Well, go kill some bad guys, save the forest, and train your pet Rawr…
Have a good game? Let me know by message, or leave a comment here or on my ourWorld profile. Because I can only feature one game each week, I won’t be able to answer every request right away, but I will try to get as many knocked out as possible.
