Nintendo Labo combines the magic of Nintendo Switch with the fun of DIY creations. You are given instructions on making a 13-key piano, fishing rod, or other tools then while using your Switch remote; you can play interactive games. It’s an interesting concept that no company has really created yet. And we can depend on Nintendo for innovative ideas.
However, $160 price tag for cardboard seems a bit much by any standard. You can buy an entirely new Nintendo system (used) for that amount of money. It’s the biggest scam purchasing something like that now. Cardboard as an inexpensive material.

I hope you realize you are not paying for the cardboard as a material but for the innovative concept and idea. Everything new and never-done-before is going to cost extra for that exact reason. Also, the price is not $160, but $70 and $80 for two separate kits and nobody forces you to buy both for total $160.
So is it expensive? yes. Is it innovative? also yes.
Exactly. Supply and demand. Nintendo is a known company to create something first, skew the price tag because there is no competition yet and become rich.
I agree. It is still expensive. And it’s better to wait these kind of things out.
