A screenshot (or shots, as i like to call it) is an image taken by a computer to record all visible items displayed on your monitor. I stole the definition from Wikipedia :p

I'll be showing how to take a screen shot on windows pc:
    1. Press [PrtScn] or [Print Screen] button. It should be at the upper right of your keyboard.
    2. Your current desktop will be copied to your clipboard.
    3. Now open Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, or your favorite image program.
    4. Press [ctrl] + [v] to paste the image.
    5. Now crop it, edit it, and save it to your computer.
    6. Upload it to your post on ourgemcodes and you're done!
If you have a mac, then it's a lot easier:
    1. Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
    2. Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
    3. Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
    4. Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
    5. Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
    6. Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard.
    This is very useful information.

I personally find it a lot easier to do on a PC, but still a great post. Thanks Skye!

I don't know where that is.
I mean my PrtSc button is weird. It says "End Fin" and then in small print "PrtSc Impr. Ecr."
It works whenever I am on my dad's laptop or my mom's but on my laptop it doesn't :(

On windows, press the "fn" button on the bottom left hand corner + the PrtSc button.
My old windows didn't work when I just pressed PrtSc alone, so someone taught me to press "fn" at the same time and it works. :)
