Feedback: Ogc Forums Becoming Its Own Site?

    I need your feedback. Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top... and whipped cream... and sprinkles... and... and... and... :p

    So forumers, what do think about making a seperate site, specifically, for our Forums? The site will be identical to our current forum, except it will have its own name. I'm thinking something like this:
    www.ourForum.com

    And the radio station will be changed from ourWorldFM to:
    www.ourRadio.com

    And the blog will still remain as:
    www.ourGemCodes.com

    All three sites will be linked into a network of sites. Leave your feedback :)

    I like the idea since the main thing holding all of the sites together is that they were started for ourWorlders.
    But the sites are more independent since they aren't specifically used for ourWorld; the users just have common interests. And although it has aspects connected to OW (Maketplace threads), I think it's becoming a community of its own. This forum seems like a place for people our age and it has potential for more of an audience, instead of just OW users. I'd actually like to see what'll happen if it wasn't only connected to OW. Whether it'll have more users or less.
    Either way, the idea is cool but I think people wouldn't mind whether you decide to separate them or not.

    I love the idea! Especially the URL names. Just make sure the domains aren't taken yet, but I doubt they are. :p

    I'm also wondering if we'd have to make a new account again, because I really don't want to. If we can keep the current ones, I'm all for it! :D

    I find that if you did separate the forums from the main OGC site not as many new ourworlders would be able to figure out that there are forums connected to OGC. (unless you give a large button on the OGC site that directs some people to the forums)

    Also it is true for some people that if their profile has to get reset and they have to build up a reputation again that it may be harder on the current fourmers.

    Your accounts will be perfectly perfect, meaning they will be fine. And if this does happen (not surr that it will) then the forums will go down for a few hours. But not for too long.

    The sites will be able to exist on their own. I think we have a strong community here. And if we expand, we'll be able to attract new members.

    Ive always envisioned an online gaming community where we're not limited to just ourWorld.

    This is a really good idea. In doing this seperating ourgemcodes and the forums should make it less laggy! This could mean better improvements on the forums. Such as getting our chat bar back and some brand new features. Highly approved! But I think all three websites will need good and clear advertising methods to attract the maximum number of users to each one.
